The photoshoot Saturday went pretty good!
We managed to get through all 8, but I almost stopped after 6. I was exhausted. But after a little nap and dinner, I was able to pull together and finish the last 2.
I’ve got 4 of them up so far:
Imperial Officer: Played around with a couple of different hairstyles for this but my fav ended up being the braid.
Arwen!! Ahhh! OMG I love my new wig! I bought it from Arda back in January and it was super discounted because it was some sort of test wig for a new lace-front they are doing? So this didn’t have a lacefront but I got a gorgeous wig for next to nothing. It’s a little lighter than I would have liked for Arwen, but the length and style is perfect and I’m so happy with these photos. It’s making me itch to clean the whole costume up and wear it again for something. There’s a few small tears in a couple of the seams of the velvet (though nothing obvious, and both fixable), and the trim on the back needs cauterized, but that’s it… I’d love to wear it at something one day again.
Anna Valerious – the finished wig! I’m really pretty happy with it. It could use some tweaking but still, it looks so much better than the wig fresh out of the bag (and much better than the frizz-fest it was last week).
This poor costume… most of it is still in good shape, but the stretch pleather I used on the undercorset and corset is shedding EVERYWHERE and making such a mess. The suede on my boots is tearing up, too 🙁 (Guess I better shoot Urd sometime soon since that costume uses those boots, too).
Also the only thing worse than finding out your corset is way too small for you now is the top of your Wonder Woman corset being INCHES away from closing when it fit fine in 2008 LOL (Which I’ll get to that story when I post those photos.) Yeah, you can see in the side photos that the part of the corset that should be on my side back is firmly on my side and very visible. Oh well, it happens.
Lessa! This one almost didn’t make the cut (it was costume #7 of 8) and I wasn’t really sure what to do for the wig. I ended up braiding the Anna Valerious wig. Not exactly the look I originally had in the costume, but, meh. I kinda like how it looks and I finally have new photos of this. Yay!
Next post will be Bespin Leia, Ozma, white Arwen and Ame-Comi Wonder Woman!
